South Dorset Conservatives are a group of people connected by a common belief that conservative values and action will make our area and our country, a better place for us all. Our members are at the heart of our Association. Becoming a member of South Dorset Conservatives is a great way to find out more about issues affecting your community, and enables you to join the conversations that lead to finding solutions that help you and your neighbours. We welcome your involvement whether that be by becoming a Party member, attending our Association social events or by volunteering. To find out more please call the office on 01305 851 900 or email us at [email protected]
Involvement at Branch Level:
If you are interested in becoming involved with your local Branch, we are always looking for active members to campaign and to plan and/or host fundraising events.
Leafletting:
We need volunteers to help in delivering newsletters and leaflets to houses. As a leafletter, you will have a number of houses to deliver to, within in a set area. Keeping in touch with residents via literature helps to raise the profile of our Local Conservative Councillors, prospective council candidates and parliamentary candidate.
Canvassing:
The purpose of canvassing is to represent our Party on the doorstep and to engage in positive and friendly discussions with residents. This also helps us to highlight any problems or concerns in the community that we can then pass on to relevant councillors.
Other Volunteer Roles:
We need people to telephone canvass (Connect Calling), display posters, help with telling at poll stations, and other tasks.
